Sanjay Dutt sings for wife, walks the ramp

Sanjay Dutt walked the ramp for a jewellery show here Friday night, hand in hand with his wife Manyata and even sang a few lines for her, to loud cheers from the crowd.

Wearing a white Sherwani designed by Vikram Phadnis, Sanjay who is one of the brand ambassadors of Gitanjali jewels, walked the ramp with Manyata, who was dressed in a beige heavily embellished saree and black blouse, sporting exquisite diamond jewellery. The couple drew tremendous applause.

Then the emcee asked Sanjay to hum a few lines for his wife, and accepting the request, the 52-year-old actor sang a line of his song “Ae Shivani”, changing the lyrics a little bit and incorporating Manyata’s name in the song instead of Shivani.

To this Manyata, who last year gave birth to the couple’s twins, a boy named Shahraan and a girl named Iqra, expressed her love for Sanjay by saying: “The biggest diamond of my life is my husband and my two kids.”

Sanjay had married Manyata in 2008, after two years of dating.

The event also saw appearances by Bipasha Basu, Ajay Devgn, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Neha Dhupia, Riya Sen and Prachi Desai among others.

Decide Akshay Kumar’s ‘Rowdy Rathore’ look online

UTV Motion Pictures has launched an online hunt for the new look of actor Akshay Kumar for their new film “Rowdy Rathore”.

“Akshay Kumar is shedding the uber-cool avatar and is set for sporting a rowdy look in his upcoming film ‘Rowdy Rathore’. But he is not able to decide which moustache will bring out the rowdiness in him. Click to help him pick one,” reads a post on the UTV Motion Pictures’ Facebook page.

And the look that gets the maximum votes would be finalised for the film, which also stars Sonakshi Sinha.

Akshay is also learning traditional combat karate for his role in the film.

Directed by Prabhudeva, the film is produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Ronnie Screwvala and designer Shabinaa Khan.

John Abraham broken and bruised!

Shooting for his first full-fledged action film “Force” is proving to be injurious for John Abraham as the actor has already suffered 282 bruises, seven broken bones and innumerable scratches during the shoot.

“Force”, directed by Nishikanth Kamath, boasts of adrenaline pumping action sequences.

It has John with several physical injuries as the actor refused to use a body double.

According to sources, the film’s production unit started maintaining a log book for all action sequences and people who performed it. The tally is said to have shocked everyone in the unit.

“Force” is a remake of Gautham Menon’s successful 2003 Tamil film “Kaakha Kaakha”.

John plays a cop in the film which also stars Genelia D’Souza. It is slated to release Sept 16.
